About the Artist
Margina Gabriel received a B.A. degree from Chatham College, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she double majored in Art and Biology. She attended the Counselor Education Program at the University of Pittsburgh and received her M.Ed. degree in counseling. She has worked as a certified School Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and presently works as a school counselor in Florida. She has studied art therapy with registered art therapists in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
She has been a member of:
The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts; Pittsburgh Print Group; Pittsburgh Association for the Arts in Education and Therapy; the Quiltmakers Society of Pittsburgh; and the St Augustine Art Association.
She has worked in the medias of stained glass, quilt making, printmaking, painting, and mosaic
